Voice & Vision
An invitation to five days of
creative renewal in Italy!
June 23–27, 2026
FRASCATI, ITALY (NEAR ROME)
Guided by Gudrun Bühler & Lisa Sonora
Express Yourself with Embodied Ease & Confidence
VISUAL JOURNALING AND GENTLE VOICE WORK -
express yourself through writing, art and voice.
Voice & Vision is an invitation to be present to what lives under the surface.
Supported by culture, history, and a small groupsetting where you can let go and dive deep.
Held in the historic setting of the Museo Tuscolano Scuderie Aldobrandini in Frascati, Italy, the workshop brings together different ways of expressing yourself so you can listen to what
wants to be heard and you can see what wants to be seen. Guided by two Master facilitators.
Lisa Sonora (Visual journaling) and Gudrun Buhler (Voice work).
The purpose lies in the joy of the creative process and the opportunity to be in community while cultivating a deeper connection with oneself away from everyday tasks and problems.
Wether you are an artist looking for more depth or simply someone interested in expressing yourself - you will be taken into a magical place.
All you need is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore.

Come Back To Easeful Expression That Feels Like You
Voice & Vision unfolds as a dialogue between image and sound.
In morning visual journaling sessions with Lisa Sonora, you’ll work in a sketchbook using a variety of art materials, collage, and writing.
The focus is on observation, curiosity, and inquiry rather than technique or outcome.
Drawing inspiration from the sketchbooks of Leonardo da Vinci and others who kept visual notebooks—where words, images, and ideas lived side by side—visual journaling is offered as a way of thinking on the page and giving form to inner experience without needing experience in making art.

Feel at Home with Your Own Voice
Voice & Vision unfolds as a dialogue between image and sound.
In the afternoon we will explore our own voices:
* Body work will release tension and that will allow for deeper breathing.
* Gentle voice exercises such as humming, vocalizing on vowels
and creating sound together.
* Simple harmonizing and improvisational singing
not focused on technique or judgement of the sound -
focused on allowing self-expression and flow.
* A big part of the work will be to go deeper into an exploration of the different vowels and what each vowel brings to the voice.
(For example OOH as in Y(ou) brings warmth to the sound.)
* working with focused listening as a means to coming into stillness
What you can hear you can sing!
* Playful, fun and also meditative and deep.
"...few singers realise that the vowel is the soul of the voice, the soul of the word,..."
- Herbert-Caesari
The work will be gentle. It will be tailored to your level of comfort. Applying the work to singing songs is included for those who would like to sing. It is not a requirement.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM ITALY AND THE CREATIVE PROCESS!
Frascati has long been a place of retreat and study—close to Rome, yet removed enough for attention to settle.
You'll experience "La Dolce Vita" firsthand, becoming inspired by the beauty, art, architecture and nature around you.
Our sessions take place at the Museo Tuscolano Scuderie Aldobrandini, where world history as well as modern art shape the atmosphere.
Over five days, the sustained rhythm of shared practice creates something increasingly rare: continuity and connection - allowing perspectives to shift, senses to open and attention to deepen.
Evenings are intentionally open, giving you time to absorb the day’s discoveries at your own pace. Whether through a shared meal, a walk through town, or quiet time alone, the work continues to unfold naturally and with ease.
