Voice Intensives in Italy
2 UPCOMING WORKSHOPS
September 21st - 25th 2026
October 19th to 23rd 2026

The Villa San Paolo Apostolo is nestled in the middle of fields of olive trees and vineyards. In fall all the fruits of summer are ripe and

ready for the plucking. There are grapes, nuts, figs, and more.

The class schedule adjust depending on the best

scenario for all. We work at least four hours every day.

Bring loose clothing for body and breath work.

Songs you want to work on should be submitted well

before the start of the workshop. It is not necessary to

have a song ready. That is up to each participant.

You can use the workshop also for an

intimate exploration of your instrument.

We will work in small groups. Up to five people.

There is an opportunity to add a trip to the Vatican Museum

at the end of the course. Depending on interest.

You can find accommodation at the country hotel Herba Regina. https://www.countryhouseerbaregina.com/en/

The hotel is a 10m walk away from the Villa.

Or you can stay in nearby Frascati.

You can reserve your spot with $1500.

VOWEL WORK AND BODY AND BREATH WORK

We will explore the power of all five principal Vowels.

Each Vowel brings special qualities to the voice. We will strengthen all of them which results in

more vocal freedom, beauty of sound, agility and power.

TESTIMONIALS

My time in Italy was truly beyond words, but I’ll do my best to express how grateful I am. What I expected to be a singing workshop became one of the most meaningful and spiritual experiences of my life. Gudrun has a remarkable gift meeting people where they are. She thoughtfully tailored every lesson to each student’s unique needs while creating an enriching experience for the entire group. I’m not a singer by any means, yet I never felt out of place. Instead, I felt encouraged, supported, and inspired to express myself in ways I never expected. The group itself felt almost destined. Gudrun has an incredible ability to bring together people who create a safe, welcoming, and uplifting space. I left not only with unforgettable memories but with genuine friendships and a renewed sense of self.

Weeks later, I still feel like I’m floating on a cloud. Friends have told me there’s something different about me since returning, and I feel it too. This experience opened my heart, deepened my confidence, and reminded me of the joy of authentic self-expression. I can’t recommend Gudrun and this experience enough. It was truly an honor to be part of this retreat, and I cannot wait for the next one.

A LIFE CHANGING
EXPERIENCE

I used to think voice lessons were for singers, not for someone like me. I’m a storyteller, coach, and speaker, not a performer, and for years I assumed my voice was just… my voice. Fixed. Something I used, but not something I could really develop.

Then I met Gudrun.

What started as a simple question, “Is there one thing I can practice to improve my voice for speaking?”, turned into lessons, a trip to Italy, and one of the most challenging and fulfilling experiences of my life. Gudrun is, of course, a masterful teacher and professional opera singer. Voice is her life. But what makes her truly extraordinary is not just her expertise. It’s her presence, her intuition, and her ability to meet each person exactly where they are.

She has a rare gift for helping you connect with your own unique instrument. In every session, she draws from a deep well of knowledge to help you find alignment with your voice, your strength, and your natural resonance. The work is physical, emotional, surprising, deeply focusing, almost meditative at times, and also filled with laughter, funny noises, and plenty of gloriously imperfect notes.

Did I come out of it sounding like Adele? No - though I wouldn’t complain. But what I gained was far more valuable. My relationship with my voice has completely changed. I feel more connected to myself, more confident as a speaker, more able to positively influence others when I find that sweet spot, and yes, even bolder when I step onto a karaoke stage.

Gudrun is one of the best-kept secrets. She will meet you wherever you are and lovingly guide you into a deeper relationship with your voice. Not just for singing, but for self-expression, confidence, and connection. This work is about so much more than music. It is transformational.

It was a delight working with Gudrun during her week-long voice workshop in the olive tree
orchards of Frascati. Gudrun is intentional with each moment, starting with those she has gathered
together for the workshop. There was a quick bond amongst myself and the other participants. I
felt seen and heard not just by Gudrun, but by the community that was built through that week.
Gudrun works to see each participant and understands where the body is protecting the voice from it’s full potential. I never imagined I would do so many planks during a voice workshop, but she
was right in her intuition, planks had me focusing elsewhere so that my solar plexus could
naturally expand. At one point I was encouraged to sing from that expanded place, never had I
heard my voice more full, I didn’t know I had that type of force inside of me. Though it is a
workshop that leads to self-discovery, Gudrun’s trained ear keeps the pace of fine-tuning at the
forefront. Stopping and starting so that you stay on track, after all it is often unlearning that is the
hardest to do. Through working with Gudrun I have come to understand that it is not about
pushing a sound out but first quietly hearing it with my inner ear that leads to a more robust sound.
